Mary Henebry Travels to Myanmar

Mary Henebry embarked on the journey of a lifetime when she traveled to Myanmar earlier this year. Along with her brother and fellow photographer John Henebry, Mary’s journey took her to temples and villages not usually seen by tourists.

“Although we had to be cautious about bringing a lot of gear with us because the government doesn’t allow media presence, I brought a Polaroid camera in addition to my dSLR, and shot stills of families and children in exchange for their incredible hospitality. In some of the more remote villages, these Polaroids were the first and only portraits they had seen of themselves or their children.”
